Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe for Pizza Ovens

ooni outdoor gas oven bake peach cobbler

No joke! This 3 ingredient peach cobbler is the easiest dessert that you’ll ever make!

But you top a bowl of this cobbler with a scoop of ice cream, and you’ll have people begging you for the recipe!

This recipe has been one of my favorite camping dutch-oven recipes for years.

All I had to do was put it into a cast iron pan and turn the pizza oven down as low as it could go.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Can of Peaches (not peach pie filling)
  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 Stick of Butter

Directions

  • Pour can of peaches into a 12 inch cast iron pan (preferably without handles)
  • Cover peaches with yellow cake mix
  • Cut out chunks of butter and drop them around the top of the cobbler

Drop your oven down to low.

Cover with aluminum foil (for the first 10 minutes).

If your pan has a handle, I recommend putting it in at an angle so that the handle is pointing to a corner. This way, when you turn your cobbler the handle is always pointing to a corner of the oven. You want to make sure you turn it to get all four sides cooked.

After the first 10 minutes, remove the foil and put it back in – rotating every 2 minutes or so.

Keep an eye on it, but it should only take about 20 minutes to cook.

Serve it into a bowl and put on a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream – makes it 10x better!

Tools

  • Leather gloves – it’s gonna be hot for a normal oven mitt
  • Aluminum Foil – It’s optional, but typically lets you cook longer without burning the top.

Variation

Replace the peach juice with a can of Sprite for an extra kick!
